The Imperial Palace
Also called the
Forbidden City, located in the center of Beijing City. It was originally the
imperial palace of Ming and Qing dynasties. The building extends to the middle,
west and east directions, mainly has a Noon Gate, three big halls (the Hall of
Supreme Harmony. the Hall of Middle Harmony and the Hall of Basic Harmony). The
red walls and yellow tiles represent the absolute imperial power. It is the
largest surviving complex of historical buildings in China.
