The Three Gorges
A section of
the Changjiang River, Starting from Baidicity of Fengjie, and Sichuan in the
West to Nanjinguan of Yichang, Hubei, and total 193 km. It consists of Qutang
Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge Along both sides of the gorges, there are
cliffy mountains, the river is deep and tortuous. Li Bai, a great poet of Tang
Dynasty very well described the three Gorges by his verses "While monkeys keep
crying on the sides, the light boat has passed millions of mountains".
